Design Design Design

Bit of a late night post this is as I have been quite full up today. Made some great progress at work with some designs but unfortunately cant post up anything as its top secret as such but its for a very large UK insurance company so I am happy everything is being taken well... on to the more interesting stuff ... in my previous posts I have mentioned I am doing some search engine optimisation work on movingeverywhere.co.uk - online removals for moving home and house removal and after just 2 days Google is on the site and begining to post up some promising results already... going to keep it low for a few weeks though and try not to get too exciting about the progress as things can suddenly change but its good news that things are working, just waiting for Yahoo and MSN to catch up with the indexing now and see what kind of results they bring. I am also interesting in the impact that this excercise will have on a virgin business such as movingeverywhere and i will looking at the amount of traffic and actual enquiries and sales they site gets direct from the search engines.

Just starting on some new work for a 50's , 60's, 70's tribute band doing a range of music from the whole elvis, jonny cash era as such.... just doing the logo now (at 23.45) and going to be doing a website mock up ... will be posting info as and when that is ready....

Monday comes as inevitable tuesday, wednesday and the rest of the working week. The day job brings its normal trials and tribulations doing work for large insurance companies and also working on our own marketing platform which is very good.

This evening I am working on my dear ladies website www.vickydevine.com as she is a DJ / Producer and lives out in Ibiza for 5 months of year as such and I am left here in sunny UK tending to her website , hahaha... updates to the site will feature some new video footage of her playing in a sexy new video player I am working with / on and also new look Flash graphics to the site aswell as updating all the galleries on the site from her travels around the world...

Got a few more things on the boil such as doing a website for a strip bar in cornwall, not bad for some but have to go where the people pay me and if i have to do a website for that then so be it. Lets hope fingers crossed that I get it...

Also I am working on myspaces for some DJs and promoters in and around the Uk and and in Ibiza once again ..... its raining , raining , raining too.. thank god I live in a hilly area so we dont get floods

More to follow... I will be keeping you update on my search engine optimisation for a recent site i have done called Movingeverywhere - online removal quotes, moving home and house removal , i recently did the site and did the SEO piece on it and am intrigued on how things go in the next weeks .. not much happening at the moment, must be eager to get those results and go back to client and tell them of the success (hopefully).

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, the purpose of my blog is to let you know what I am doing at the moment, what I am working on and the successes and failures of what I do.

I have recently designed www.movingeverywhere.co.uk which is a removal company which helps people with moving home and house removal and provides people the facility for online removal quotes. , so I was tasked with the design of this site which I am very happy with and also running the Pay per click campaign on Google which I am pleased to say brings in about 4 - 5 enquiries per day so the business is functioning properly...

I am also doing the search engine optimisation for this site too, as its a new project it is off the map per se on Google, Yahoo and MSN ... so it will be interesting to see what happens with this business and the development within the next 3 months and increase its online presence.... I am also working on a number of DJ websites being www.vickydevine.com , www.pamshouse.co.uk and www.dannyburch.com ... the latter 2 are being redesigned where as the first one I am updating with new media content and new sections...

I seem to forever live by computer .. working full time in the day doing design work and online technology development for retail and consumers and then in the evening doing my freelance.... I think I have more of a social life with my computer than I do so outside.. hahaha..

I am probably typing the typical cliche of "this is my first blog" and to tell the truth it is. I thought I would start the blog to hopefully tell people what is going on in my world of design. I design websites, build websites and do niche items such as search engine optimisation which beyond the myths does work and I have had some very good results with certain areas of business.

I am going to be posting about what I am doing at the moment in terms of work as I work full time in the day developing sites for large blue chip companies and then I work in the evening doing my own freelance work doing websites, flyers, posters, logos mainly for the DJ/Clubbing and Music industry.
